Neutron Star Collision & Gravitational Waves

LIGO gravitational wave observatory directed about 5 gravitational waves already. But they all were from colliding binary black holes. That is the catch! We have no way to prove it using any other instrument, for obvious reasons.

Now scientists have detected gravitational waves from colliding binary neutron stars. The beauty of this event is they could confirm it with other telescopes operating in various ranges of electromagnetic spectrum. And finally they managed to solve some mysteries in periodic table too.
